I would say a Jacobs or MSD is a marginal at best upgrade. Do not look that upgrading your ignition will give you lots of HP, it won't.....

I installed a Jacobs pro street in one of my BMW's several years ago. Sure the car seemed alittle smoother.... but I didn't see the 5% mileage increase nor maybe an odd 1-2 hp gain. Maybe I already had the car well tuned??

That said, I do have several MSD 7 race systems on my older track used cars. I like the ability to set the revlimiter (by changing chips).

You'd do almost as well just making sure your stock ignition is up to the task (plugs/cap/rotor/wires --correct plug gap and type).
