Hi guys! I have an E28 and my wife has an '86 325E
manual trans. She loves it and will not give it up. Just turned 165,000. Even though she sometimes gets stuck in S.F. Bay Area traffic, she still won't give it up. She likes the size, the way it handles and especially how solid it feels unlike those "tinny" asian imports. Tell her to just close a door and she will see. Goodluck!

the e30 network is www.bmwe30.net

I've got both an e28 528e and an e30 325is. I love my e30 way more than my e28. It's more of a personal car rather than a family car because of its size, and the stock suspension/handling is way better than the e28. I don't know your wife, but from most women that I know, they don't care about sportiness and handling, so a honda accord may suit her just fine.

hold out for a 325i(s) if acceleration is important.

Bryan,

I have been trying to talk my wife into a 1991 e30 318is that is available here in town. She's not budging...she likes her Honda Accord. Oh well...I'm not giving up. I think she'd love an e34 automatic. Good luck on your end. Be sure to check out the e30 forum and the e30 network webpage...very helpful! Do a web search for E30 network and you should find it.

Cheers,
Tim

and would like to hear some pros and cons on 318i & 325i such as fuel mileage and performance comparison.also some things i should look for when buying one.thanks in advance.
