Engine speed sensor and reference sensor. Start at the two connectors on top of the intake manifold and they lead down the drivers side and to the tranny. Disconnect the plus at the top and measure for about 100 ohms, if not they are probably the cause of not running.
help! have read about problems with starting so having to move away form previous house i had the old girl trailered to a small bmw specialist garage.
the chap had trouble getting her to run properly any ideas shes had new filters/plugs/pump/ecu tested /cleared fuel rail and still lumpy (airflow has also been checked.

sensors etc any thing missed?
