hey tom mine is doing it at 2000rpm constantly. but your
problem sounds like the tank condensated when you parked
it for week. drain the bottom of the tank in to a clean jar
and look for water beading in the gas or other nasty
stuff we pay extra for at the pump. if so ckeck filter
back drain it into the clean jar then you can come to your own conclusion. good luck bsandy 84 533i
