Did your problem last year happen at all rpms?

Car sat for 7 days whilst I was sunning myself in FLA. I drove it to work Th & F(5 miles, too many lights to make prob happen, I think) and then on highway Sat. when it started to buck.

that happens @2000rpm.i had your symptoms last year and drained the tank and new filter cleared it
up did.nt work for me this time i think mine is

Folks, My 84 528e just started bucking intermittently on the highway yesterday. I checked the archieves and the fuel pressure regulator and pump issues didn't seem to match my probs and I'm stumped.

Starts great. Idles fine. Has power. Outside temp ~ 40 degrees f, no rain.

Bucking occures at all speeds, cruise or no-cruise and all fuel tank levels.

Just one or two (maybe three) bucks, then runs fine for 5 mins, then another buck or two, then 10 mins more, etc.

I could duplicate the bucking by tapping/punching the accelerator and quickly letting off.

Seems like a split second loss of fuel.

Any takers?

Thanks in advance

Tom
