The strong throaty V8 sound at idle,and up to about 2000rpm,is a delight,especially as it fades lower as you raise the rpms,becoming just a tad deeper and louder at speed than stock,say over 2500 to 6000rpm.
Just installed about 1500miles ago on my 1987 535is w/3.73 ratio,I'm extremely happy with it's lack of interior decibels at very high speed,leaving highway trips very comfortable.
