Pete - thanks. When you installed yours, did you also replace the pieces down by the tranny? That should have fixed the side-to-side?

Tim, Not to my knowledge. I hate to sound dumb but basically my mechanic said "this is a good cheap mod" and I said ok, do it. I only paid for the shifter and main bushing and labor. I think I'll go back to him and ask about the other bushings. Maybe that's why it only cost $100 for the parts and labor. I've gotten used the the slop and it doesn't bother me. It's not often I speed shift a 150k transmission because I'm sure the syncros are getting worn. I also have a 3.73 lsd in my car which raised the fun factor 1000% but I don't do much highway driving.
