On my 535i the wind deflector has side braces which the sunroof hits as it closes. This moves the wind deflector down and out of the way. There's no syncing involved. Some guesses: perhaps the braces are worn, the deflector is bent, or the sunroof panel isn't mounted at the correct height.

mine seems to be insynch with the motor but not with the wind diflecter when i close the sunroof it meets head on with the wind deflector and stops. so i have to hold it down and try to time it right so i dont pinch my finger how do i get it back insynch? thanks in advance ~JOHN BANNER~

i think the pannel is mounted ok because it lines up with the top of the roof perfect cai i get replacement gudes for the wind diflector? will that solve my problem? thanks again ~JOHN BANNER~
