Exhaust question? (archive)

I have a 1987 535is and was wondering how i could give the exhaust a deeper slightly louder sound? The front and rear mufflers are in perfect shape they were just replaced less than two years ago(with the stock parts from Ansa) so i dont really want to get new mufflers. Is there any way i can put new tips on the rear muffler to give it a different sound or how bout removing the front muffler all together?
Im not looking to upgrade i just want something that sounds a little deeper and louder.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
