Does anybody else feel that with a good set of snow tires (and a reasonably good driver), the E28, or any other BMW at that, is great in the snow?

Sorry to burst your bubble, Chad, but I'm not impressed with the two BMW's I've driven in the snow. The first was a 325e. I even went so far with that one as to buy steel wheels and 4 studded snow tires. It still sucked.

I've got good 'ole Michelin Pilot all-season tires on my 535i. It's a little better than the 325e, but it's still not my first choice in a snowstorm. I've got a 1983 Toyota Tercel, beater car that does much better in slick conditions.... maybe because it doesn't have the power to spin a wheel even on ice!

Keep it up. There's a tree with your name on it! :-)
