It's the driver's responsibility to drive within the capabilities of the car and the conditions of the road. Many of us have had to drive many years in the snow with RWD muscle and other high powered cars. Granted, our BMW's will break the wheels loose a little easier than a VW beatle, or a Subaru GL wagon, but I seem to get where I am headed, and rarely do I not go driving because it snowed the night before.

Plus, I see an awful lot of people dying in the snow in those wonderful, tanklike, AWD SUV's.... although most of them seem to be dialing their cell phones when they bite the big one.
