Could be, but if I remember correctly, the E34/E32 pistons have a larger crown volume than the 10:1 E28 pistons. Those don't look to have that large a dome, plus, that looks like a b34 motor and I would find it very strange for someone to use all of the b34 stuff on a b35 block. Also, remember that if it is a b35 block, it would have to have a b35 head or else it would have a really high compression ratio. I would say, have Chris G run the vin off the block and then measure the intake valve diameter. This should be able to tell all. It looked like a very small crown volume to me, but maybe I just looked at it wrong.

Don't the E28 10:1's have sort of a grand piano shaped dome? Those look like the later version 3.5 (E32/E34) pistons to me.
