If you are anywhere near the SF Bay area, for $2k more you should buy the one around the corner from where I live. The good: 140k miles, 5spd, not a crack in the interior leather, perfect paint. The bad: TRXs (rubber looks new tho), a few knicks/scratches on the front airdam. I posted the guys phone number a few days ago. (I still dont know the seller, just hate seeing this beautiful 535is sitting on the corner everyday I drive by)

I ran across a 87BMWis for sale last week. The owner said it had about 300K on it and wanted $2500.00. I have not driven it yet but will do so. He said it still runs but I think it will need work i.e., paint, seats to be recovered, radio, antenea etc. otherwise the car looks great. Is it a good buy. I was thinking of replacing the engin for a rebuilt motor and having the seats recovered. What do you all think. PS, in graduate school and just looking for a great project. Email me with answers. Scott
