No, the B7 was rated @ 300hp, the B7S was 330hp.
The were both rated about 0-60 in roughly 6 sec.... quarter mile in 14.1 (or 13.9 depending upon the car) Which may not sound terribly impressive by today car standards but in 1978? Then it was called the fastest sedan in the world (155mph).
Remember many of these cars are geared for the autobann and have 2.93 rear end ratios.... So switch them for a 3.45:1? then yes they would be blistering quick! Although the top end might be only 140mph.....
The E28 was never made in a B7S mode, only the E24 (30 made) or the E12 (60 made). I know of only 3-4 real B7S's in the US. And maybe 10-20 B7's.
