I saw some things in the archives, but not exactly what I'm seeing. The fuel gauge goes to empty, the range on the OBC display shows ----M, range shows 2-3L fuel left if I press the 1 and 1000 buttons on the OBC, but the warning light doesn't come on. I thought maybe it was a bulb/LED issue, but when I fill the tank, it takes maybe 12.75 gallons, and shows 3/4 full. Has anyone one this forum experienced this? I'm thinking it's the sender, since the gauge and OBC seem to agree. I think I read in the archives that they are driven off the same signal, but the warning light is not. Is it possible to re-calibrate? Help?

I just swapped the fuel gage out in my 86 735 and noted some interesting results. Prior to the swap, my gage didn't read quite full when it was, and when it read empty the computer said there were plenty of liters left in the tank. The low light didn't go on, but I figured the light was maybe bad. Anyway, with the new gage in it, it now reads full when I fill it, and it is actually empty when it says empty, not at half a tank. The gage set I installed came from a 528. I figured they were all the same, but dumb luck would imply otherwise. Maybe you have the wrong gage for your car. Anybody else experience this?
