1985 535i, 5 speed, 85k miles (wow!), my first bmw

I'll be moving very shortly. 2,400 miles including crossing the Rockies unless I take a longer way. Considering installing a hitch on this car (not only the move, but future use for jetski(s) I don't yet own) and renting a trailer. My personal possesions don't amount to much weight, dresser, desk, nightstand, so it won't be light, but it won't be particularly heavy.

advice, please, on this. checked FAQs but came up empty. thanks in advance.

You can get a light duty hitch from Pep Boys. You'll also need a wiring harness w/ converter so that your taillights/signal will work with the trailer's lights. You can easily tow 1000 pounds or so. A friend of mine uses his 535i to tow a 325e race car on a trailer.
