Thinking of discarding worn out TRXs and going to 17 x 8 inch BBS RKs with 18mm spacers to bring them to the correct 20mm offset. was toying with 215 45s for the front and 225 45s 0r 235 40s for the rear, probably Bridgestones SO2. Kid at the Tire Rack seemed to be just a kid and didn't give me much confidence. He said any of the above would work "really well" Anybody else experimented with putting $2000 worth of wheels and tires on a $7,000 car??!! I must be nuts..

Hi Simon, I agree with the rest of the repondents....you'd be amazed at the amount of money some spend to give their "Ultimate Driving Machine" the "Ultimate" look. Although some of the "more mature" enthusiasts think 16-inchers are as large a diameter you should go, I think not. I recently put on a set of 18x8 TSW SGVs with a 20mm offset and 225/40-18" tires. Although the ride isn't as smooth as with the 16"ers I had it's still amazingly quiet for that size....I love the look so do many others. My philosphy is...if everyone did everything the same the world would be an awful boring place...everything in black 'n' white. So, if YOU wanna spend $1K, $5K, or $10K on wheels and tires....do it...it's yours! Peace, SmitDog
