could removing a headrest be that hard? Obviosuly so, considering i have been trying to remove the thing for weeks so i can get my interior re-done.

im guessing you have electric comfort seats. if so, remove the seat, its easy, 4 17mm bolts and the electrical connnections. take off the back panel, 2 phillips head screws. disco headrest cable drive from the motor,2 screws. give a sharp pull upward to the headrest. this should enough to pull it out of the plastic sockets the rails are nested in. DONT try to pry the sockets,they are brittle. i suppose the operation could be done w/o removing the seat,but i prefer to have lotsa room when ever possible.
