instrument cluster upgrade for 82 528e? (archive)

Hi. I'm new here and was wondering if anyone could help with a few questions.

I recently picked up an '82 528e. I love the car, but it's got the ridiculous 85-max speedometer. Also, the odometer is dead. So i was wondering if i could solve both problems with a used cluster from a later model e28. Does anyone know if the connecters are all the same? Will it plug right in? Which years/models go up to 150mph or so? How much should i expect to pay for a used cluster? Anyone got a spare for sale?
