vinyl dye is good for the soft vinyl.but it is not good for the hard plastic.trust me it will peel!
I have had it painted for 6 months now and it still looks as good as when I painted the first day. And I think if I painted the seats it would crack but only because it is flexed constantly. but if you baught a vinyl paint the paint would soak thru and actually dye the vinyl.
