Your post didn't provide enough info to answer it. Stock 14" rims? 70 series tires?

185 is the width in mm, so your contact patch is 10/195, or about 5% narrower. This will reduce grip on dry pavement, increase it on slick surfaces. So maybe a good move for winter tires.

There is also an effect on overall diameter. Check the archives or maybe tirerack.com for a tire size calculator. This will make your speedometer read a little low. It will also lower your car slightly, which may give a very slight improvement in handling, maybe acceleration (like going with higher gearing in diff.).

You'd probably get a more informed response to this question with a single topic, descriptively titled posting. Something similar is probably in the archives.
