should do depending on mileage,when i had my "87"525e it was running on leaded petrol,i wanted to try unleaded,so i contacted my local bmw dealer and they told me if it had done over 60,000 miles i could put unleaded straight in with no adjustment at all,it pinked once but was okay after that.
