3 guage problems... (archive)

I have an '83 528e with 220k

The temp guage only works about 10%, but when it does work, it does so with reasonable accuracy.

The "MPG" guage works about 50% of the time.

The "low fuel" light on the fuel guage hasn't ever come on since I have owned the car, but the fuel guage itself works perfectly.

Do any of you guys have any Ideas as to eliminating these problems? Any help would be appreciated, even (especially) the locations of the senders,
