The oil pan is fine, you don't have to lift it very much. I've replaced every one I've had ('84 528e & '85 535i), not a particularly hard job if you are moderately mechanically inclined.


Anyone ever replace an enginge mount. I dont have a hoist. Is there a place I can jack it. I read somewhere on the message board to put the jack on the oil pan but that doesnt sound right.
