Just finished blasting the crud off my engine. Used about four cans of Carb and choke cleaner and about a gallon of mean green in a pressure bottle w/steaming water. It looks like a new engine. Also pulled off the MAF sensor, all air filter plumbing, the wiper fluid resivouir and any other misc. items not to complicated. I scrubbeed every concievable surface and now my underhood area looks new. ...if I could only get the rest of the car to look like new.
PS. Does the 3.2 liter engine have a stamp of "3.5" on the head, like between intake runners five and six? or would this mean that my 533 has the motor from a later 535i? Or is this a general marking that all big six e28's share. The engine runs too damn good for over 400,000 miles. any opinions on the matter would be appreciated. Thanks
