problem getting into 1st (archive)

hey i was just wondering if anybody had any ideas on what is going on--sometimes when i am driving and i stop at a light or somthing when i start to accelerate it will pop out of first i try to put it back in but it doesn't want to stay and pops back out after a few tries it will usually stay and i can go on my way. any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks for your help
