4.5L is what my '86 528e is set to - when the low fuel light first comes on, that's how much fuel is supposed to be in the tank. If your range function is reasonably accurate, I wouldn't mess with it.
Does anyone know the USA setting for the low fuel alarm? When I checked the original setting it was at 11 L. I've heard it should be set at 4.5 L? Can anyone confirm?
