I tried to buy a used cat in Ohio from junkyards, and told that it is not legal because cats have to be recertified, which means they basically can't be resold. so I bought stock from BAV. What condition can 12 y/o pipes be anyway? You might find one from a private party. It is easy diy job, but expect O2 sensor to be rusted in.
