Doug says:

It feels like my brake pedal travel is too long. Braking is good, but it takes more and more pedal travel to get the same braking force.

Bimmerwerks in Broomfield rebuilt my brake booster last Friday, and flushed the PS system with new ATF. Brake booster and bomb were fine. But after installing the 7xx/M5 "factory upgrade kit" from http://www.ultimategarage.com Saturday night, with a normal pressure bleed, I still had moooooshy brakes, just like you described.

Here's how I fixed it Sunday afternoon:

Drive around a bit, romping on the brakes to activate the ABS a few times.
Pull it into the garage, shut down the engine, put car up on jackstands and remove the wheels.
Start the engine, pump the brake pedal 30-50 times.
Shut down the engine, attach the pressure bleeder, bleed all four corners (3x each to be sure).
Reinstall the wheels, lower the car, torque the lug bolts.
Pump the brake pedal 15-20 times until it comes up hard.
Start the engine and drive away with a firm brake pedal and a big smile on my face :-)
