replaced thermostat (archive)

removing the thermostat did not fix the over heating problem. Ran cooler while in motion but still over heated on idle. Im running out of parts to replace...
I replaced the thermostat this morning, I added water and bled the line while it was running, I let the car heat up and went to bleed it some more and only steam came out. Is this right? Does it sound like I have a blockage?
