533i Exhaust upgrades??? (archive)

I have an 83 533i that will shortly need a new cat back exhaust. I would like to do the whole exhaust, header to tail pipe. Can I just use a 535i system to improve flow? Are the heads the same on a 533i and 535i? What is out there aftermarket? Not looking to break the bank, economic solutions prefered.

I already free'd up intake with an aftermarket replacement filter in the stock enclosure. Is there anyone that makes a chip replacement for the 533i that accomodates these modifications? I don't plan on any other modes to the engine.
