When you install the Eibachs in the rear, it will be noticeably lower, overall.

Did you have new spring pads installed in the front? If not, this could very well be the reason for the rattle. My Eibachs rattled in the rear after 10k, but never in the front. Your mechanic should have suggested new spring pads!
