I dont know the pressure numbers needed, but I used thesight glass and it worked well. Add refrigerant until the bubbles in the glass dissappear. Also, I was told by a commercial HVAC guy that the bottle should be upside down at all times, otherwise the combination of gasses might not be correct. I followed this advice after both over and under filling and now my system works great, even on 100 degree days traveling thru the Central Washington desert. Hope this helps.Kevin
Does anyone have the low and high side pressure readings I should be getting.
The system was holding pressure, but was not as cool as I expected with 2 cans of 134a in there.
I was working with a relative that has a vacuum pump and is in heating and cooling, but is not that familiar with the 134a used in
automobiles.
We were running approx 38 to 40 psi on the low side and 250 or so on the high side. The new high side switch never cut the
clutch off on the compressor that I could see.
Any info on pressure numbers or otherwise would be great!
