My 528e has a power steering reservoir, with an integral filter. Is it possible for it to become clogged and contribute to my symtoms?

uhh,535s have the filter hiding in the reservoir. i dont think the 528e does. if for some reason your eta has a big 6 reservoir,then under a false bottom is a filter that when clogged will give you those exact symptoms
