YES, I agree...very good points Rob.

However, my guess is that you (and almost everone else who smudges their license plates in photos) are actually "suspicious" rather than "pananoid". On the one hand, you (and other smudgers) ARE realistically suspicious of the intentions of others out there in the world (e.g., Johnny Law). If you (or other smudgers...of which I am one too) were TRULY "paranoid"...that is a much more serious state of mental health affairs as it would connote that one has a much more pervasive distrust of others and that he/she interprets their motives as malevolent without a sufficient (or warranted) basis. Now THAT type of behavior IS "paranoid."

There is a good reason. Some of the individuals that do this might be paranoid. In fact my bet is that most of them are. The other thing is that people are afraid if they break the law and get away with it, then the cops can track them down or something like that. I guess that would be paranoia too, but I do it.
