88 3.5 info please! (archive)

I have a 1988 3.5 from a 535 which I plan to use in a race e30. I am thinking of turboharging it, but I have no idea of this engine's specifics like;
-compression ratio
-strength of crank, rods and pistons
-what can be done while the engine is apart to strenghten it
-any weaknesses with this engine?
