I just did the same thing with my '88 535 but went with 215/60hr15's. Glad I did...perfect wheel well clearance with better performance and looks.

I just got a set of 7x15 wheels to replace the TRX set on my '86 535i. (Probably from an E34 or perhaps a 7-series, 20mm offset.) They came with a set of 205/65 R15's that I am going to replace with Michelin MXV4 Plus. Should I buy 205/65HR15's or 205/60HR15's? The latter are a little cheaper. I don't see any reason for my driving needs to go to 215's or larger. Any advice would be appreciated!
