Will Buy the 535i Monday! (archive)

Took another look at the 1985 535i today, along with the wife and kids. Wifey drove the car, and liked it (how many wife's can drive a 5 speed? I must be lucky!). Jr. liked it and told me to get it. I buy it tomorrow. The A/C didn't work - low on freon. I put 3 cans of 134 in (the seller has converted to the new freon). Noticed compressor oil dripping out of the hi pressure line. That must be where the freon is leaking out. It did blow cold, though. The drivers seat only goes up on the left side of the seat cushion. Looks like the roller/bracket on the right rear side of the bottom cushion is not working. Cruise control does not work. Needs a cat-back system. Other than that, it's a solid car that doesn't shake, shimmy, or smoke. The engine runs strong.

The car hasn't had a service II for about 40-50k miles. What should I do first? Oil and filter, spark plugs, adjust valves?

Where is a good place to buy parts?
