Gosh I would not part it out just for a fluke. If you were having Idle Control Valve Problems I would have had it serviced by a dealer then ha dit back in as soon as it failed to get them to warrant the problem.
I would also have a look at the air intake system to see if you have a crud leak and also anything else that would make it fail.
