We got the E28 because, after two driving schools and a half-dozen open track days in the E30, she was bored with the minivan. Can't drive kids to swimming lessons in a coupe, she needs a practical 4-door family sedan. The 535iS hauls groceries nicely - and it hauls at the track too :-)

So now I (usually) drive the E30 and she (usually) drives the E28. It's working out OK so far. Two Bimmers in the family makes for marital harmony.
