There are lots of BMW enthusiasts out there including enthusiastic and/or knowledgeable buyers who are willing to put the time and money into getting the problem(s) fixed. BMW's are prone to rough idle so if the buyer is an E28 person already they may have some good ideas on where to start troubleshooting. The advice you got earlier is good. Just be honest with the person interested in the car and sell at a fair price. If it is in good shape otherwise fixing the mechanical problems will be worth it. Needless to say, I imagine the ICV doesn't need to be replaced again. So the next person can start somewhere else. It's a shame the same part was replaced over and over at your expense. Good luck!
