I would remove the L piece (with the amber light).Use a bolt with a large washer to replace the torn rubber trim clip and reinstall the L piece.The L pice is attached with 8mm hex screws that hide under the lip and on the inside of the fender.Your home made clip replacement should hide under your amber/rubber piece and will not show.
