Replaced the front subframe on my 77 630, and all measurements on the frame geometry check out, but the alignment specialist (highly regarded--does work for many body/frame shops in our area) says that the car has memory steer (I have to correct the final return on steering to center). He needs to go through the front suspension more fully, but it is not a steering box problem. That problem is currently on hold while the car is getting a replacement engine/trans.

I suggest go to a few good body/frame shops and find out who they farm the final alignment out to. It appears that most body shops with frame racks probably send work out for the final alignment and are choosy about who they use.
