Service Interval Board from 'allbmwparts' (archive)

Anyone have any experience with the Service Interval replacement board from 'allbmwparts.com"?

The e-mail I received from them said it does not use batteries, as the original board has two ni-cads. At $275 (plus my old board) the price seems reasonable. Wonder how it remembers the information it collects.

Your thoughts/comments would be appreciated. Thanks!
