There are photos in the gallery of cars with spoilers. Besides the curvature, there is the issue of how your spoiler fits around the roundel. The early 7 series cars have the lock button on the trunk lid, so the roundel sits up very high on the curve. The 6 has the trunk button below the trunk lid, with the roundel lower on the lid. The spoiler on the one in the gallery has a notch over the roundel. If you want to see trunk lids on early 5ers, Go to www.firstfives.org and look in their gallery, or at the Cars Of The Month.

I think the roundel treatment on your spoiler is the key.
