Radiator Leak (archive)

I thought my daughter's 1985 535i had a bad lower radiator hose, so I replaced that and put in the correct coolant (previous owner was not running phosphate-free coolant).

Still had leak.

Found it was not the hose, but the lower automatic transmission coolant attachment (threaded brass male connection). Since my daughter's is a manual, this connection is not used. But my question is....how do I stop this leak? Does this male connection even come out? Does this little leak mean I need a new radiator. I really do not want to try any "stop leak" products, since I am mistrustfull of them....causing clogs you see.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
