Would there be enough threads left to go with a 1/4" or 5/16" shim?

Others have had this same problem, myself included.

I have offered the same advice that worked for me but have not heard back from these other people.
Thanks for giving feedback and acknowledgement.

Would ultimately love to hear that you and your wife's patience has been restored and all is well with no shuddering thumps.

So--like I've been sayin' keep us posted.
