If you think other people decide if you (or your car) are "cool" are "not cool", then YOU are the one who is not cool.

Have pride in yourself and do whatever you want. What other people think does not matter. If you like the e28, then by all means, IT IS COOL!

On another note, I remember when I was in high school (82-86). I drove a 2002. The 535is JUST CAME OUT! I thought it was the baddest, coolest machine BMW had ever made. (Until the M5 came out!)

Now I drive one. (But I have my eye on a new M5!)
