E28's use expansion valves rather then orifice tubes. There may be a screen built into the inlet of the expansion valve, and the receiver/dryer has filtration capability.

CAn some one tell me if the E28 a/c systems uses an orifice tube or not. What filters the deposits on the air conditioning system?
