Transmission mounts (archive)

I am in the process of replacing transmission mounts on 5sp on 88 E28. Can anyone tell me anything about the mounts themselves (color, size, etc.) They are not matching up quite like the old ones. Is that from wear or do I have the wrong mounts? Thanks.
